Who I am
Howdy, BBQ enthusiasts! I’m Kaydon, a devoted father of four (a 4 year old girl, 3 year old boy, and two brand new baby twin boys) proud elementary school assistant principal, and a barbecue aficionado with a passion for family, flavorful grills, and finding joy in the art of slow-cooked perfection.
π¨βπ³ A Principal Pitmaster: By day, I’m navigating the halls of education, shaping young minds and creating a positive school environment. When the final bell rings, I swap my assistant principal hat for a BBQ apron, diving headfirst into the smoky world of grilling.
π Quest for the Trophy: This year marks my exciting journey toward competing in my first BBQ competition. Join me as I share the highs, lows, and all the savory details of this new adventure. It’s a pursuit fueled by the love of barbecue and a desire to master the craft among the best in the game.
π¨βπ©βπ§βπ¦ Family, Flavor, and Fun: Family is the heart and soul of my barbecue escapades. I firmly believe that the best memories are made around the grill, and I’m thrilled to get my four little apprentices involved whenever possible. From meat spritzing to burger smashing, they’re an integral part of the BBQ journey, making it a true family affair.
π Stress Relief, One Grill at a Time: For me, barbecue isn’t just about crafting mouthwatering dishes; it’s a therapeutic escape from the demands of daily life. The sizzle, the aroma, and the satisfaction of creating something delicious provide a much-needed release. Join me as we explore the dual roles of BBQ: a culinary adventure and a stress-relieving ritual.
π₯ Let’s BBQ Together: Finding Time to BBQ isn’t just a blog; it’s a celebration of family, flavor, and the simple joy of grilling. Join me on this journey as we explore the world of barbecue, share recipes, swap stories, and revel in the magic that happens when smoke and family unite.
Grab a seat by the grill, and let’s turn ordinary moments into extraordinary memoriesβone barbecue at a time!
Gratefully grilling, Kaydon πΆοΈπ₯
